Location: Bethesda, MD (with potential hybrid schedule; subject to change)
Organization: Naval Surface Warfare Center, Carderock Division (NSWCCD)
Clearance Required: Active Secret (T3 level PSI)
Salary: $33.46 – $36.81 per hour
About the Role
The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Carderock Division (NSWCCD), supports research, development, testing, evaluation, and in-service engineering for the Navy’s surface and undersea vehicles. To ensure mission success, NSWCCD requires professional support services within the Property Management Division (Code 107) and Corporate Business Office Division (Code 106).
We are seeking a Senior Technical Screener & Procurement Specialist to provide technical, administrative, and project support in areas of procurement, supply chain management, process improvement, and compliance. This position plays a critical role in supporting programs such as Operating Materials & Supplies (OM&S), General Equipment (GE), and Purchase Requisitions (PR), ensuring operational efficiency and audit readiness.
Responsibilities
Duties may include, but are not limited to:
Coordinating procurement and supply chain activities to support NSWCCD operations.
Processing MILSTRIP procurements and Purchase Card (P-Card) requisitions.
Supporting Navy ERP records management and workflow processes.
Performing inventory validation, screening, and disposition of materials.
Supporting audit compliance in accordance with DoN and federal requirements.
Developing and implementing process improvements and procedural changes.
Drafting and maintaining Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and other business guidance.
Assisting with knowledge transfer, data management, and command-wide forms development (Adobe/MS Power Tools).
Providing customer service support across procurement, supply, and property management functions.
Coordinating administrative support for logistics, supply, and operational requirements.
Qualifications
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field from an accredited institution.
In lieu of degree: An additional 10 years of prior military, DoD, or equivalent experience in MILSTRIP, supply chain, or procurement may substitute.
Experience & Skills:
Minimum 2+ years of experience processing MILSTRIP procurements.
Background in procurement, customer service, and process improvement (management-level experience preferred).
Working knowledge of Navy ERP (N-ERP) strongly preferred.
Strong organizational, communication, and process development skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities across procurement, supply, and compliance tasks.
Clearance Requirement:
Must possess a favorably adjudicated T3 level PSI (active Secret clearance).
