Position Summary
Odyssey Systems has an exciting new opportunity for an experienced Senior Systems Engineer supporting a high-priority acquisition mission within the Air Force Life Cycle Management Center's Cryptologic and Cyber Systems Division (AFLCMC/HNC).
The AFLCMC/HNC provides life cycle management for Information Assurance (IA) and other critical cybersecurity systems. Its mission is to ensure the warfighter's access to information systems while denying adversary access to the same. The division also supports other critical Air Force, DoD, and national systems essential to mobilize, deploy, support, and sustain military operations.
This position is full-time, onsite at Fort Meade, MD.
Responsibilities
In this Advisory and Assistance Services (A&AS) role, you will provide expert-level systems engineering support to the Department of Defense (DoD) by assisting government leadership with decision-making, planning, and execution throughout the acquisition lifecycle. You will apply your technical and/or professional expertise to ensure compliance with applicable policies and regulations, contribute to mission success, and help deliver critical capabilities to the warfighter.

Citizenship: Must be a US citizen
Minimum Required Qualifications
Clearance: Must have and be able to maintain a Top Secret Clearance with SCI eligibility
Education: Bachelor's in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field
Years of Experience: 10+ years of systems engineering experience, with at least 5 years supporting the DoD
Preferred Qualifications
Clearance: TS/SCI
Education: Master's degree preferred
Years of Experience: 12+ years of systems engineering experience with significant DoD program support

Duties include, but not limited to:
- Conduct reviews on program portfolios to evaluate and recommend alternative plans, improve systems engineering processes, manage/sustain technical baselines, and ensure system performance aligns with specifications.
- Perform program reviews evaluating alternative plans, system engineering programs, designs, and test results to assure subsystem and system performance compliance.
- Prepare technical documentation defining system/subsystem characteristics and develop management reports, technical briefings, and presentations supporting planning and decision-making.
- Validate systems by developing criteria, procedures, and performance measures and analyzing test results.
- Provide technical and program engineering support across the acquisition lifecycle including development, integration, sustainment, deployment, and operations oversight.
- Support program and project risk management activities in alignment with Air Force Systems Engineering Assessment Model (SEAM) processes.
- Conduct trade space analyses, cost versus capability trade-off studies, and technology roadmap analysis for system concept development and improvement.
- Implement Digital Engineering, Digital Thread, and Digital Twin techniques across system lifecycles to modernize engineering processes.
- Apply critical thinking and multi-objective decision analysis methodologies to solve complex engineering problems under tight deadlines.

Years of Experience: 10+ years of systems engineering experience, with at least 5 years supporting the DoD
- Experience with USCYBERCOM and JCC2 programs and applications (e.g., Joint Cyber Operations, Threat Awareness Sharing Capabilities, Readiness Applications, MADSS)
- Knowledge of military operations planning, approval, and execution processes
- Proficiency with computer networking fundamentals across multiple communication media (satellite, fiber, wireless, etc.)
- Strong technical writing ability for issue papers, briefings, and summaries
- Ability to work in fast-paced, multi-tasking environments with tight deadlines
Preferred Qualifications

Years of Experience: 12+ years of systems engineering experience with significant DoD program support
- Demonstrated expertise in cyber defense acquisition programs, cyber operations, or cybersecurity weapon systems
