In this critical role, you will:
- Be a Confidential Source of Support: Provide face-to-face, non-medical counseling services to active-duty service members, their spouses, and family members.
- Empower and Guide: Support clients dealing with stress, relationships, occupational concerns, and other life transitions.
- Build Community Resilience: Conduct individual, couples, and family counseling in various settings, including military installations, command settings, and community locations.
- Educate and Inform: Deliver presentations, workshops, and training on topics related to stress management, coping strategies, and military life challenges.
- Collaborate for Impact: Work hand-in-hand with military leadership, base support services, and community organizations to ensure comprehensive support for service members and their families.
Minimum Requirements:
We are seeking a compassionate professional with the following qualifications:
- Master's degree in a Behavioral Health profession (e.g., MS, MSW, MA).
- A valid, unrestricted counseling license, preferably in the state of work; however, licenses from other states may be accepted.
- Acceptable licenses: LPC, LCSW, LMFT, LCPC, LMHC.
- Please note: LADC and LMSW licenses are NOT eligible. Clinicians under supervision may NOT apply.
- A strong understanding of military culture and the unique stressors service members and families face.
- The ability to work independently and develop tailored intervention strategies.
- Must be a U.S. citizen and speak fluent English.
- Must be able to pass all background/suitability checks, including additional installation-specific requirements.
- Desired Experience:
- Previous military service or strong familiarity with military culture.
- Experience working with active-duty service members, veterans, or military families.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
