Software Asset Management (SAM) is a business practice that involves managing and optimizing the purchase, deployment, maintenance, utilization, and disposal of software applications within an organization. This role will be under the direction of the Software Asset Manager.

Qualifications for Software Asset Analyst
A notification to prospective applicants that reviews, and tests for the absence of any illegal drug as defined in 10 CFR 707.4, will be conducted by the employer and a background investigation by the Federal government may be required to obtain an access authorization prior to employment, and that subsequent reinvestigations may be required. Requirements
- Conduct software asset reconciliation and audit activities.
- Ensure software compliance by tracking software deployments against purchases
- Report generation -- discovery, metering, and utilization or other business requirements
- Deliverable development and performance metrics
- Update the RAID log regarding Software Asset Management
- Fulfill customer / 3rd party queries on the state of the Assets / CIs
- Monitor the Software Asset lifecycle from acquisition to disposal
- Identify and remediate unauthorized and end of support software installations
- Ensure accuracy of software asset database with timely updates and health issue identification
- Work with key internal leaders onboarding other offices and departments as well as divestures of software requirements
- Assist with ServiceNow SAM improvement initiatives
- Process software requests, onboarding/offboarding personnel fulfillment, and download requests in ServiceNow
- Maintain the software Deployable Media Library directory
Qualifications for Software Asset Analyst
- ITIL Foundations Certificate - preferable
- Drive - motivated by challenges, responding positively to them
- Experience with office productivity tools - data analytics using Excel
- Strong information monitoring and analysis. comprehension of business metrics
- Familiarity with asset management software and/or inventory tracking systems, such as ServiceNow SAM Pro - preferrable
- Degree or equivalent working experience in computer science, management information systems, or a related field
- Possession of Secret Security Clearance is required
