Mayvin is seeking a Mid-Level Personnel Security Specialist who will play a critical role in supporting background investigation operations. The Mid Level Personnel Security Specialist will conduct administrative support functions and apply analytical skills to review incoming materials and investigative reports, identifying potential security vulnerabilities and viable investigative leads.

This position is contingent upon contract award.

Must be a U.S. Citizen.

Must have an active TS with SCI eligibility and the ability to pass the FBI CI Polygraph.

Responsibilities :
  • Conduct comprehensive indices and database checks in support of background investigations, continuous vetting, and reinvestigations
  • Review, analyze, and synthesize investigative reports and case materials to identify security concerns, vulnerabilities, and investigative leads
  • Draft clear and concise case summaries, findings, and recommendations to support adjudicative determinations in accordance with national security adjudicative guidelines
  • Ensure case documentation is accurate, complete, and compliant with investigative standards and agency policies
  • Identify gaps or inconsistencies in case data and coordinate with investigators, agencies, or other stakeholders to obtain clarifying information
  • Mentor and guide entry-level personnel on investigative processes, quality standards, and case analysis
  • Assist senior specialists in resolving complex or sensitive investigative issues and contribute to adjudicative reviews as needed
  • Support quality assurance and compliance initiatives by reviewing case files for adherence to established policies and procedures
  • Coordinate effectively with investigative, adjudicative, and administrative staff to ensure timely case progression and resolution
  • Contribute to process improvement initiatives by recommending enhancements to investigative workflows and security operations


Qualifications :
  • Bachelor's degree (or Associate's degree with 4 years of relevant experience)
  • Seven (7) years of experience in the personnel security investigative or investigative analyst field
  • Experience conducting and interpreting database checks and credit reports
  • Demonstrated ability to perform routine administrative support functions in support of investigative operations
  • Strong analytical skills to critically review and analyze incoming material and investigative reports to identify potential security vulnerabilities and viable investigative leads


Preferred Qualifications :
  • Experience with a law enforcement agency preferred
