Mayvin is seeking a Senior-Level Personnel Security Specialist who will play a critical role in supporting background investigation operations. The Senior-Level Personnel Security Specialist will serve as a subject matter expert, providing leadership, guidance, and oversight across the personnel security program. This position requires a deep knowledge of federal personnel security policies, adjudicative standards, and investigative processes, as well as the ability to manage sensitive and complex cases independently.

This position is contingent upon contract award.

Must be a U.S. Citizen.

Must have an active TS with SCI eligibility and the ability to pass the FBI CI Polygraph.

Responsibilities :
  • Lead and oversee personnel security investigations, reinvestigations, and continuous vetting efforts for high-profile and sensitive cases
  • Serve as a subject matter expert in applying national security adjudicative guidelines and providing recommendations on eligibility determinations
  • Critically review investigative reports, database checks, and case documentation to identify vulnerabilities, inconsistencies, and security concerns
  • Provide authoritative recommendations to adjudicators and senior leadership on eligibility for access to classified information
  • Supervise and mentor junior and mid-level security specialists, providing guidance, feedback, and training to strengthen team capabilities
  • Ensure case documentation and investigative actions are complete, accurate, and compliant with agency policies and federal standards
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across investigative, adjudicative, and administrative functions to ensure timely resolution of cases
  • Support quality assurance and compliance reviews, recommending process improvements to enhance investigative efficiency and effectiveness
  • Lead or contribute to policy and process development initiatives to strengthen personnel security operations
  • Manage sensitive and mission-critical personnel security matters with discretion, professionalism, and independence


Qualifications :
  • Bachelor's degree (or Associate's degree with 17 years of relevant experience).
  • Fifteen (15) years in federal law enforcement experience or 17 years of experience in the personnel security investigative or investigative analyst field .
  • Technical training/certification as an investigator and/or adjudicator is required.
  • Experience conducting and interpreting database checks and credit reports.
  • Strong analytical skills to critically review and analyze incoming material and investigative reports to identify potential security vulnerabilities and viable investigative leads.


Preferred Qualifications :
  • Prior security management experience preferred.
