Program Overview

About The Role

We are seeking an experienced Release Train Engineer to join our dynamic team. As a Release Train Engineer, you will be responsible for facilitating agile practices, ensuring smooth implementation of Scrum frameworks, and empowering cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality products on time. You will act as a servant leader, guiding teams in the process of continuous improvement, fostering collaboration, and removing any obstacles to help achieve sprint goals.

Responsibilities
  • Drive transformation across the organization by leveraging frameworks, including Scaled Agile (SAFe), Scrum, and Kanban.
  • Work to drive the adoption of the Agile mentality through Lean Portfolio Management, Agile delivery knowledge, and Agile life cycle management tools, while coaching and mentoring team members.
  • Lead multiple Agile Release Trains (ARTs) from end-to-end and deliver SAFe training and workshops, including leading SAFe, SAFe for Teams, SAFe PO/PM, and Values Stream Identification.
  • Help to bring standard methodologies into the organization and partner closely with senior leadership to establish lean agile routines and practices that transform the organization to run Agile at scale, integration and continuous development, DevOps, and automation.
  • Lead daily standups, sprint planning, retrospectives, sprint reviews, and backlog refinement sessions.
  • Guide and coach team members in Agile principles and Scrum practices to foster self-organizing and high-performing teams.
  • Actively identify and remove any blockers or obstacles that hinder the team's ability to meet their sprint goals.
  • Serve as the main point of contact between the team and stakeholders, ensuring clear and consistent communication.

Qualifications

  • A current Top Secret security clearance with SCI eligibility and the ability to obtain a polygraph
  • Bachelor's degree and 12 years experience or 10 years experience with Masters or High school and 16 years of experience
  • 8 years of experience of real-world Agile coaching experience as a scrum master, agile coach, or release train engineer, guiding software product teams, divisions, or organizations through the varied challenges of adopting and scaling agility within an organization
  • Background in software engineering, program design and implementation, configuration management, or maintenance, integration or testing, and information system engineering
  • Experience running Agile Release Trains, including planning, execution, and monitoring
  • Proven understanding of the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) principles and practices.
  • Exceptional facilitation, communication, and collaboration skills
  • Proven ability to coach and mentor leaders, teams, and Scrum Masters
  • Experience in leading at least one Agile Release Trains (ART)

Desired Qualifications:
  • SAFe Program Consultant (SPC) Certification or similar certification

SCA / Union / Intern Rate or Range

Details

Target Salary Range: $112,000 - $179,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
