Koniag Management Solutions seeks a Cloud Information System Security Officer to oversee security operations for Azure cloud environments for our client. This full-time remote position requires ensuring compliance with federal security requirements while supporting our client's cloud security posture.
Essential Functions, Responsibilities & Duties may include, but are not limited to:
- Implement and maintain security controls for our client's Azure cloud environments
- Monitor cloud systems for security incidents and coordinate response activities
- Conduct risk assessments and vulnerability scans of cloud infrastructure
- Develop and enforce cloud security policies aligned with FedRAMP and IL4 requirements
- Document security posture for Authorization to Operate (ATO) packages
- Perform security testing and assessment of cloud-based applications
- Collaborate with development teams to implement security in CI/CD pipelines
- Generate security reports for leadership and compliance stakeholders
Required Skills & Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in information security with focus on cloud environments
- Experience implementing security controls in Microsoft Azure
- Knowledge of FedRAMP and DoD Impact Level 4 (IL4) requirements
- Understanding of NIST 800-53 security controls framework
- Experience with cloud security tools and monitoring solutions
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or related field
- Ability to obtain a public trust
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior government or DoD work experience
- Experience with DevSecOps practices in cloud environments
- Certifications such as:
- Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Security Engineer Associate
- Certified Cloud Security Professional (CCSP)
- GIAC Cloud Security Automation (GCSA)
- Experience with security automation tools
- Knowledge of compliance requirements for DoD systems
