About the Role:
Aquila Technology is seeking a System Engineer t o join our team in supporting one of the country's premier defense research organizations. The Systems Engineer is responsible for the development and testing of complex systems; making sure the various components and subsystems work together to accomplish the missions. Activities include trade studies, requirements flow down, architecture development, system modeling, and functional and environmental testing from the component to systems level.

- Must be a U.S Citizen- Must have an interim / Active Secret Clearance (Green Cards / Visas do not qualify)
- Willingness to undergo a comprehensive background investigation and maintain a personal security clearance. (Aquila would sponsor you for the security clearance.)
- Must be within 100 miles of worksite (Lexington, MA)
Must Have:
- Bachelor's Degree
- 5 years Systems Engineering
- 2 years Ability to model, analyze, test and plan the assembly of advanced hardware
- 2 years Assembly of advanced hardware, including ground and space systems
- 2 years Functional Analysis
- 2 years Timeline Analysis
- 2 years Model based systems engineering
- 2 years Systems Analysis
- 2 years Systems Integration
- 2 years Software Validation
- 2 years Testing from the component to system level
Nice to Have:
- Masters Degree
- Systems Modeling
Required skills:
- Ability to model, analyze, test and plan the assembly of advanced hardware and software, including mechanical and functional modeling
- Performance and mechanical modeling of various types will be required.
- Experience testing complex hardware
- Data analysis skills; being able to analyze production data
- Ability to work in multidisciplinary teams.
- Knowledge of MBSE (model based systems engineering) tools
Preferred Skills:
- Experience developing system models of complex architectures
- Experience executing systems engineering activities in a model-based environment
