Position Overview
Provides Joint Fires Targeting Advisory and Assistance Support (A&AS) to the USNORTHCOM/J3 Joint Fires Element (JFE). Provides joint fires targeting support and insight to assist the Government with operations level planning of USNORTHCOM mission area capabilities for lethal and non-lethal targeting, support contingency planning, future, and current operations in strategic deterrence to include space operations, cyber warfare, information operations, global strike operations.

Position Overview

Job Responsibilities
- Primary tasks include support for JFE planning, assisting the Government by providing briefing materials, coordinating schedules, and meeting locations, providing minutes of the JTCB, and participation with working groups.
- Provide reports of meetings and working groups to military and/or Government leadership to assist in their decision-making.
- Assist the Government with the ongoing joint targeting cycle by collaborating with appropriate CCMDs and components.
- Support Boards, Bureaus, Cells, Centers, and Working Groups with emphasis on the Joint Targeting Coordination Board and Joint Target Working Group.
- Prepare briefings for Government acceptance for the JTCB that provide the status of intelligence, operations (by all components and applicable staff elements), fires, and maneuvers that have been tracked, coordinated, and synchronized.
QUALIFICATIONS
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree
- 10+ years of experience supporting the DoD, including at least five (5) years of experience in military operations.
- 5+ years of experience working in military plans.
- 5+ years of experience in a senior military staff office (Service HQ, Combatant Command, OSD, JS)
- In-depth knowledge of the National Production Workshop, the MIDB, JP3-60, and CJCSI 3370
- Detailed knowledge of USNORTHCOM policy and strategy and a thorough understanding of USNORTHCOM EXORDs, OPLANs, and CONPLANs
- Experience researching a range of topics and functional areas.
- Experience in operational and/or strategic levels of DoD planning and/or
- Proficient at authoring analytical and/or policy documents
- Graduate of Joint Targeting School or Service Equivalent
- Graduate of the Air Operations Center Course
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Must possess an active Top Secret security clearance and be eligible for immediate SCI nomination and indoctrination. Must be a U.S. Citizen
