Splunk Consulting Engineer

Piper Companies is searching for a Consulting Engineer (Splunk) to work for a leader in the technology space and reside in Oakton Virginia. The Consulting Engineer (Splunk) will be working with Splunk tools in both organizational and engineering capacities.

Responsibilities of the Consulting Engineer (Splunk) include:

· Develop and maintain Splunk dashboards for operational visibility and reporting.

· Analyze logs to identify anomalies, performance issues, and potential threats.

· Perform backend configuration and optimization of Splunk environments.

· Support troubleshooting and tuning of Splunk queries and alerts.

· Assist in creating documentation and training materials for Splunk users.

Qualifications for the Consulting Engineer (Splunk) include:

· Must be eligible to hold an active TS/SCI clearance.

· Strong experience with Splunk (dashboard creation, log analysis, alerting).

· Familiarity with backend Splunk configuration (indexing, data inputs, props/transforms).

Compensation for the Consulting Engineer (Splunk) includes:

· Total compensation is $160,000 - $175,000 annually

· Comprehensive benefit: Medical, Dental, Vison, 401k, PTO, holidays, sick leave as required by law

· Onsite 5 days a week in Oakton, VA
