Unit Supported: 4th Maintenance Group

Schedule: Day Shift, Mon–Fri (0700–1600), Swing Shift, Mon-Fri (1500-2400)
Overview
We are seeking an experienced Aircraft Painter (23050) to support F-15 Organizational, Intermediate, and Depot (OID) level maintenance at Seymour Johnson AFB. The Aircraft Painter will play a critical role in corrosion control, refinishing, and full paint operations to ensure F-15 aircraft remain fully mission capable.
This position is part of a contract supporting the 4th Fighter Wing, requiring depot-level maintenance, operational-level inspections, and paint operations. Work will be performed in government facilities, with potential travel to TDY locations as needed.
Key Responsibilities
Perform scheduled and unscheduled painting, refinishing, and corrosion control on F-15 aircraft, Aircraft Maintenance Equipment (AME), and conformal fuel tanks.
Conduct touch-ups, scuff sanding, masking, primer application, and full aircraft painting in compliance with USAF directives and technical data.
Prepare surfaces for paint by removing old coatings, sanding, smoothing, and applying surface treatments.
Apply paint, lacquer, epoxy, resin, or other coatings using spray guns, rollers, and brushes.
Mask and stencil insignia, numbers, and lettering on aircraft surfaces.
Document all maintenance actions using official logs, forms, and electronic records.
Support concurrent aircraft, AGE/SE, and back shop workloads per COR-directed priorities.
Assist with corrosion control, inspections, and general aircraft maintenance support when required.
Required Qualifications
Experience: Minimum 5 years of aircraft painting experience (or 5-level USAF equivalent).
Demonstrated knowledge of military aircraft painting and corrosion control procedures.
Familiarity with USAF technical orders, publications, and maintenance standards.
Ability to work with hazardous materials, respirators, and painting equipment safely.
Strong attention to detail with ability to meet time standards for mission readiness.
Active Secret Clearance.
Preferred Qualifications
Military Aircraft and AGE/SE painting experience.
Background in corrosion prevention programs and aircraft structural refinishing.
Knowledge of Time Compliance Technical Orders (TCTOs), Time Change Items (TCIs), and other aircraft maintenance processes.
