Job Description:
* Seeking an experienced Principal Systems Engineer to support the GPI program's SEIT Technical Execution Lead Engineer to define the environmental requirements. (Environments RSE). This position will serve on-site in Chandler, AZ.
Responsibilities:
* Responsible for working under general direction for the SEIT Technical Execution Lead to define the environmental requirements and ensure traceability from Level 4 down to Level 6 within the specification tree.
* Responsible for frequent interorganizational interactions to carry requirements through the design.
* Responsible for collaboration with senior systems engineers and other disciplines to support the development of the NGI deliverables.
Basic Qualifications for Principal Systems Engineer:
* Bachelor's degree in a STEM discipline (Science, Technology, Engineering or Math) with 5 years of related engineering experience; or a Master's degree in STEM with 3 years of related engineering experience, or a PhD in STEM with no experience
* Solid foundational understanding of Systems Engineering
* General understanding of all design disciplines
* Demonstrated experience in requirements development and decomposition, validation and verification
* Demonstrated experience in requirements traceability
* DOORS or other requirements Management Experience
* Ability to communicate technical information clearly to both technical and nontechnical personnel
* Interim Secret DoD security clearance, or higher - Most work is performed in a closed area
Preferred Qualifications for Principal Systems Engineer:
* Systems Engineering experience
* Requirement decomposition, functional flow diagrams, Use case analysis
* Experience working fast paced development programs
* Sysml or Cameo Experience
* **Due to the nature of the work, a United States Government Clearance is required to be eligible for the position**
