Our Strategic Deterrence & Missile Defense (SDMD) Mission Strategy and Advanced Capabilities (MSAC) organization is seeking a Business Development Analyst Stf for the Next Generation Interceptor (NGI) Missile Defense Mission Area. Reporting to the NGI Strategy & Business Development Manager, the team member will support Keep Sold and Growth efforts for the Next Generation Interceptor, and support strategy and business development activities for GMD Area opportunities.
In this dynamic role you will be responsible for:
• Supporting small, medium, and large scale proposal development in support of the NGI program, ensuring alignment with strategy, discriminating value propositions, competitive bid approach and high win rate.
• Leverage current business and capabilities to support the NGI team to enable growth in both core and adjacent markets.
• Work shoulder to shoulder with the Advanced Programs Teams and functional organizations
to develop discriminating OneLM offerings to our customers in applicable mission domains.
• Assess customer strategic capability gap requirements and advocating advanced program technology solutions, planning, business opportunity identification and validation, capture plan development and execution, and customer interaction management.
• Ensure pursuits are actively captured in appropriate databases and identify & help seek out new CRAD and SBIR business opportunities in SMD related markets.
• Identify, and help prioritize and qualify pursuits through the LM Space new business process and support the overall GMD new business portfolio to ensure diversification of risk and achievement of LRP growth goals specifically focused on tasks in support of major next generation capture support.
• Work to grow the GMD market segment portfolio by coordinating with BD leads and Advanced Programs Teams to enable maturity of specific capture tasks to help better position team for next generation missions.
• Working hand in hand with the Lockheed Martin Government Affairs team to track the NGI Budget activities in the yearly DoD Acquisition process, develop white-papers and presentations for Congressional engagements for LM and SMD Executives.
• As required, communicate with and engage SMD Line of Business, LM Space senior leadership, and NGI Executive Leadership for the purpose of engaging internal stakeholders, obtaining approvals and building advocacy for growth plans and pursuits.
• Create presentations to optimally communicate campaign strategies to all levels of the organization including Executive VPs, LOB VPs, and Functional Directors.
• Ability to mentor and lead junior members of the NGI S&BD team as needed.
• Ability to work flexible hours and travel domestically as needed.
Basic Qualifications:
• Applicable B.S. or B.A. degree required.
• Active Secret clearance required prior to start.
• Ability to use MS PowerPoint, MS Excel and other MS Office tools, with ability to create executive level presentations.
• Proven experience with Proposal Management, Capture and/or Business Development.
• Understanding of the US DoD Acquisition system.
Desired Skills:
• Active Top Secret
• Demonstrated ability to proactively drive change and exhibited leadership skills
• Win Plan basic knowledge as it relates to the capture process.
• Understanding of Program Management fundamentals.
• 5-7 plus years of experience in Aerospace and Defense

• Ability to think strategically and execute to long-range objectives and strategic plans by identifying internal and external strategic opportunities and issues that could affect growth and profitability.
• Ability to interact confidently with peers, executives, both internal and external
• Knowledge of the Missile Defense Agency, Core and Near-Core customers, their missions, enabling
technologies, core programs, key opportunities and adjacent growth markets.
• Detail oriented and ability to multi-task; strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Very strong interpersonal, oral and written communication skills.
• Collaborative leadership skills to motivate and effectively work with a cross-functional capture
team.
• Demonstrated ability work within diverse teams in developing and delivering superior products with constrained schedules and resources
• Previous DoD customer experience; four (4) or more years with civilian or military personnel
• Team player, positive attitude, bridge builder who can both follow and lead effectively

Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $109,200 - $192,510. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
