Mayvin is seeking an experienced Systems Engineer - Program Manager to support USSOCOM in the development, integration, and deployment of subterranean autonomous Unmanned Ground Vehicles (UGVs). This role focuses on enabling GPS-denied navigation, sensor integration, and autonomous operations in support of counter-WMD and threat detection missions. Based at Ft. Bragg, NC, this position directly contributes to the USSOCOM mission to counter Weapons of Mass Destruction (CWMD).

Responsibilities:
  • Lead end-to-end design, development, testing, and fielding of UGV systems capable of operating in subterranean, contested, and GPS-denied environments.
  • Oversee integration of advanced sensors, autonomy software, and Mobile Ad Hoc Networks (MANETs) to enable distributed robotic operations underground.
  • Drive collaborative R&D efforts with universities and Federally Funded Research and Development Center (FFRDC) to develop and integrate next-generation autonomous functions.
  • Coordinate system demonstrations to highlight advanced capabilities and improve user interaction in WMD environments
  • Coordinate with stakeholders to ensure alignment with USSOCOM objectives while managing RDTE, O&M, and Procurement budgets.
  • Support lifecycle logistics, fielding, and training efforts to deliver Fully Operational Capability (FOC) of UGV systems to operational units.


Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Robotics, Computer Science, or a related technical field (Master's preferred)
  • At least 12 years of experience in robotics, autonomy, defense R&D, or systems integration.
  • Familiarity with GPS-denied navigation, sensor fusion, and tactical communications networks.
  • Strong understanding of DoD acquisition, budgeting, and program management principles.
  • Demonstrated success leading complex, multi-stakeholder defense technology efforts from concept through deployment.
  • Prior experience supporting DTRA, SOCOM, or other defense R&D agencies (highly desirable).
