Position Overview
QSS is seeking a Systems Engineer with strong expertise in VMware Horizon, Cisco HyperFlex, and
enterprise virtualization technologies. The successful candidate will support the design,
deployment, and optimization of secure Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) environments while
ensuring high performance, scalability, and compliance. The role requires experience with
Windows and Linux server environments, golden image management, GPU virtualization, and
automation workflows to streamline system provisioning and maintenance.

Key Responsibilities
• Design, deploy, and optimize VMware Horizon-based VDI environments using vSphere and
Cisco HyperFlex.
• Support the architecture and maintenance of secure, scalable VMware Horizon-based VDI
platforms.
• Manage and optimize Cisco HyperFlex hyperconverged infrastructure, including compute,
storage, and network stack.
• Design, optimize, and manage golden images (Windows 11 and Linux).
• Create and maintain standardized desktop images to maximize performance and security.
• Implement GPU virtualization to enhance Android emulator performance.
• Implement automation workflows for desktop deployment and updates.
• Develop and deploy automation scripts to streamline provisioning and patch management.
• Administer Windows server environments (AD, GPO, DNS, DHCP) and Linux (CentOS,
Ubuntu).
• Optimize Teradici and PCoIP protocols for secure, efficient desktop delivery.
• Collaborate with cybersecurity teams to enhance enterprise system security posture.
• Support audits, compliance reviews, and technical training.

Required Skills & Experience
• Demonstrated experience in VMware Horizon, vSphere, ESXi, and vCenter.
• Hands-on experience with Cisco HyperFlex hyperconverged infrastructure.
• Experience with Windows server environments (AD, GPO, DNS, DHCP).
• Experience with Linux environments (CentOS and Ubuntu).
• Experience with Teradici technology and PCoIP protocol optimization.
