Description
SAIC is seeking an Engineering Technician IV to support the Joint Light Tactical Vehicle (JLTV) Engineering Change Proposal (ECP) program within the Mobility Platform Integration team. This position is based at the EastGate facility in Bedford, Indiana and requires up to 25% travel to various CONUS locations in support of installation efforts. The Engineering Technician II will perform kitting & aid in hands-on integration JLTV ECP installations. The role supports field operations, follows standardized processes, and ensures installations meet technical and safety standards.

- Travel up to 25% to CONUS military bases and field sites to support integration and fielding operations.
- Follow established work instructions, technical drawings, and engineering guidance.
- Support quality assurance by identifying and reporting issues and discrepancies.
- Coordinate with site leads, engineers, and fellow technicians during installations.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings and redlines to ensure accurate work execution.
- Document work performed and communicate any deviations or issues promptly.
Qualifications
Required Skills:
- Ability and willingness to travel up to 25% to CONUS military installations.
- Demonstrated hands-on mechanical skills with vehicle systems or platform modifications.
- Proficient in MS products.
- Basic mechanical experience, including component removal and re-installation.
- CAD drafting and Modeling experience.
Required Education/Clearance:
- High school diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 1 years of relevant mechanical or technician experience.
- Active DoD Secret Clearance.
