Job Summary
Galapagos Federal Systems LLC is seeking an enthusiastic and well-qualified Project Manager to provide leadership, coordination, and oversight for Department of Defense (DoD) and Federal Government programs. This role offers the opportunity to collaborate with a diverse and talented team committed to driving mission success.
The Project Manager will be responsible for managing Professional Services contracts at the task order level, ensuring the successful delivery of cost, schedule, and performance objectives. Serving as the primary point of contact for assigned projects, the Project Manager will lead cross-functional teams and ensure all tasks align with mission requirements and customer expectations.
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience supporting Personnel & Readiness and/or Major DoD Systems in sustainment, modernization, and life cycle support, along with a strong track record of delivering complex DoD or Federal engagements.
Skills / Experience Required
* Active TS/SCI Clearance
* 8+ years of experience as a Project Manager supporting DoD or Federal programs
* Demonstrated expertise managing Professional Services contracts at the task order level
* Experience supporting or managing system sustainment, modernization, and life cycle support
* Strong understanding of DoD organizational structures, acquisition processes, and mission support requirements
* Proven ability to develop project schedules, manage resources, and track performance metrics
* Skilled in risk management, issue resolution, and corrective action planning
* Experience with project management tools and software (e.g., MS Project, Jira, or equivalent)
* Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to prepare executive-level reports, briefings, and presentations
* Demonstrated leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to manage and mentor cross-functional teams
* Ability to maintain compliance with DoD standards, policies, and regulations throughout project execution
Education / Certifications
* Bachelor's degree required in Project Management, Business, Political Science, Human Resources, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline
* Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) or Project Management Professional (PMP) certification (preferred)
* Defense Acquisition University (DAU) or DoD program management training strongly (desired)
* Professional Military Education (PME) or equivalent government leadership training (preferred)
