Blue Sky Innovative Solutions, LLC (Blue Sky) is seeking a part-time Systems Engineer to provide technical engineering support in alignment with research and development programs. This role ensures the integrity, functionality, and performance of systems supporting innovative technology solutions.
Responsibilities
• Provide systems engineering expertise in support of research and development activities.
• Analyze system requirements, design solutions, and support integration and testing.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation, including requirements specifications and interface control documents.
• Support system performance assessments and recommend improvements.
• Provide technical input for acquisition and program planning.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure technical solutions meet mission and operational needs.
• Participate in reviews, briefings, and technical exchanges.
Required Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related technical field.
• Minimum of 5 years' experience in systems engineering or a related discipline.
• Knowledge of systems lifecycle processes, including design, integration, and testing.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Effective written and oral communication skills.
Desired Qualifications
• Experience with defense-related systems engineering.
• Familiarity with systems supporting credibility assessment or applied research environments.
• Demonstrated ability to support cross-disciplinary teams.
Work Location & Schedule
• Government site in Cayce, South Carolina , with some remote/contractor site support.
• Part-time position (~956 hours annually).
