Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a highly skilled Cloud AI/ML Architect to join its mission-driven team in Alexandria, VA. . This hybrid role offers the opportunity to design, deploy, and maintain advanced artificial intelligence and machine learning solutions on secure cloud platforms, directly supporting national security and defense operations. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in AWS architecture, cloud infrastructure, and AI/ML technologies, along with a current TS/SCI clearance and experience working with federal clients This job opens for applications on August 28, 2025. Responsibilities of the Cloud Network Engineer include:
- Cloud Architecture & Deployment
- Build and maintain AI/ML systems on AWS (private/public cloud).
- Implement technical roadmaps and optimize cloud resource usage.
- Security & Compliance
- Ensure data operations meet client security standards.
- Identify and mitigate software/infrastructure security risks.
- Collaboration & Integration
- Work with PMs, engineers, and developers to tailor solutions.
- Integrate off-the-shelf technologies with custom enhancements.
- Performance Monitoring
- Define system metrics and proactively resolve performance issues.
Qualifications for the Cloud Engineer include:
- 3+ years in AWS cloud architecture and deployment.
- Familiarity with AWS Well-Architected Framework.
- Experience in:
- Database architecture
- ETL, BI, big data, ML, advanced analytics
- Strong collaboration skills across technical and analytical teams.
- AWS certification.
- Knowledge of APIs, REST, RPC.
- Bachelor's in CS, IT, or Mathematics.
- U.S. citizenship (per Executive Order 12968).
- Active TS/SCI clearance with CI poly eligibility.
- Preferred: Experience with DoD or Intelligence Community.
Compensation for the Cloud Engineer include:
- Salary Range: $150,000-180,000 **depending on experience**
- Full Benefits: Cigna Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K, PTO, Sick Leave if required by law, and Holidays
