This position requires that you currently possess and maintain an active US Government Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmentalized Information (TS/SCI) security clearance with polygraph. The position further requires to obtain a commensurate clearance for each government agency for which they perform GPS work. The US base salary range for this full-time position is $166,000-$244,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. - Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 5 years of experience testing, maintaining, and/or launching software products, and 1 year of experience with software design and architecture.
- 5 years of experience in software development.
- Experience with Kubernetes.
- Experience in languages such as Java, C++, Go, Python, or full-stack development.
- Active Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmentalized Information (TS/SCI) security clearance with polygraph.
Preferred qualifications:
- Certifications in: Certified Kubernetes Application Developer (CKAD), Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA), Certified Kubernetes Security Specialist or CKS.
- 5 years of experience with data structures/algorithms.
- 1 year of experience in a technical leadership role.
- Experience with AI, deep learning, or natural language processing.
- Experience developing accessible technologies.

Responsibilities
- Develop prototypes and build front-ends and back-ends for greenfield projects.
- Work with GPS Sovereign Engineering and Google Distribute Cloud Engineering to survey existing pain points, and propose solutions and improvements.
- Participate in and lead architecture and engineering designs with peers and stakeholders, and exercise technical judgment (e.g. deciding between available technologies).
- Review code and provide feedback to ensure best practices (e.g., style guidelines, accuracy, testability, and efficiency).
- Articulate technical concepts and analysis to both technical and non-technical audiences, including engineers and executives.
