About the job
In this role, you will be responsible for enabling a new, innovative service within Google Cloud focusing on product deployment and support. Your primary duties include providing remote and on-site support for the deployment of new cloud capacity and technologies. You must possess a strong customer focus and meticulous attention to detail, as you will be accountable for meeting defined Service Level Objectives (SLOs) and providing feedback for their continuous improvement. This role involves direct interaction with an upcoming program and will require navigating a high degree of ambiguity.
This position requires that the applicant selected be eligible to obtain, or currently possess and maintain an active TS/SCI security clearance with polygraph. The position further requires the applicant will obtain a commensurate clearance for each government agency for which they perform GPS work. Failure to maintain (or obtain, if applicable) the appropriate U.S. Government clearance or customer screening requirements that results in the employee unable to perform the requirements of the role, may result in employment action up to and including termination
This role will require up to 50% travel. You must have the ability to work non-standard hours, including working weekends, night shifts, holidays and on shift-based schedules as required.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $144,000-$211,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. - Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, or equivalent practical experience.
- 9 years of experience in a customer-facing role troubleshooting hardware, software, in cloud or on-premises server infrastructure management, including diagnosing and troubleshooting operating systems, computer hardware, and server hardware.
- Ability to lift/move 50lb (23kg) of equipment and ability to exert yourself physically over extended periods of time, including frequent bending, kneeling, climbing, pushing/pulling and lifting.
- Active US Government Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmentalized Information (TS/SCI) security clearance with Polygraph.
Preferred qualifications:
- Experience in Computer Networking such as TCP/IP, Routing, Load balancing, etc.
- Experience debugging workload issues across multi node environments.
- Experience with performing component-level repairs on IT equipment.
- Experience working with public cloud like Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and cloud computing platform.
- Understanding of basic web technologies like HTTP, HTML, DNS, TCP, etc.

- Manage capacity deployment by understanding and supporting build milestones and timelines.
- Troubleshoot and resolve OS-level issues and improve diagnostic and troubleshooting techniques for faster recovery.
- Execute the deployment and configuration of integrated hardware and software solutions remotely and on-site.
- Utilize software tools for essential functions such as inventory management and OS configuration/troubleshooting.
- Develop and improve documentation for new platforms and support procedures.
