The Test Specialist is responsible for project support in planning, execution, and reporting of designated Program of Record systems. They will play a supporting role in achieving the organizations goals by assuring the setup, operation, and tear down of test architectures of various systems and subsystems designated for test. This position will directly impact Independent Verification and Validation (IV&V) of Program of Record Systems in support of Program Office improvement and deployment goals.
CORE FUNCTIONS / JOB DUITES
Ability to perform the following, with some supervision:
Set up, operate, and tear down the test architecture of various systems and sub-systems.
Execute test procedures, analysis of test results, and generate final test documentation.
Generate test scripts within systems to support execution of test procedures.
Participate in the development of Test Plans and Test Procedures. This includes identifying test objectives and determining methods of evaluation.
Decompose test requirements from various systems and interface specifications to test specific capabilities of a system.
Apply standard troubleshooting techniques and utilize common data analysis tools to support the validation, root-cause and troubleshooting of issues observed or documented during testing.
Participate in generating required test reports and/or Trouble Report Retest Status (TRRS) and provide to the Project Lead.
Participate in data collection, preliminary data analysis, data removal, data transfer, provide any data analysis information for Test Observation Reports (TORs), and reach back support, as needed.
Support in the training of junior members of the team.
Periodically stand-in as Event Lead to support during testing or may lead a small team.
SKILLS & ABILITIES
Minimum of three (3) years and has basic knowledge of:
Common terminology within the scope of the program. This includes accurately utilizing terminology while communicating verbally or written.

Technical Writing
Troubleshooting
Standard computer-based business tools (including but not limited to Microsoft Word, Excel and Power Point)
Data collection and plan development, to support analysis objectives. This includes the development of data logs, matrixes and tables to support in assessing the effort.
Setup, operation and troubleshooting of Navy C2 systems such as C2P, C2P TR, and LMMT, preferred.
EDUCATION & CERTIFICATIONS
GED and/or equivalent years of experience

PAY RANGE
$95,000.00 to $120,000.00 annually, DOE

SECURITY CLEARANCE
Candidates must have an active clearance OR the ability to obtain a US Government security clearance and will be subject to a US security background investigation (i.e. favorable background investigation / credit score). Additional eligibility requirements for access to various levels of classified information may also be required. An active security clearance is highly desirable.
