QED Systems, LLC is currently recruiting a Test Engineer to join our team at Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD to support our C5ISR Center Positioning, Navigation, and Timing (PNT) Division contract. This position is to support next generation PNT system evaluation, testing and characterization.
Duties:
Conduct testing and evaluation of integrated Global Positioning System (GPS) receiver, Inertial Measurement Unit (IMU) and other complementary PNT sensors.
Support local dismounted (walking) and vehicle (driving) testing activities in the PNT Lab, APG and local areas, including setting up equipment (units under test and test equipment), troubleshooting, and ensuring proper equipment configuration.
Support dismounted (walking) and vehicle (driving) field test events, to include setting up equipment (units under test and test equipment), troubleshooting, ensuring proper equipment configuration.
Assist in writing test plans to meet test objectives.
Read and follow test plans to execute testing and evaluation of systems and components.
Support data collection for both local and field-testing activities.
Assist in writing technical reports and briefing results to stakeholders.
Required Abilities & Experience:
Detail-oriented with technical, verbal, and written communication skills.
Ability to integrate units under test and electronic systems with test equipment and data collection tools.
Experience with troubleshooting test setups to ensure proper data collection.
Ability to operate test equipment such as power supply, oscilloscope, spectrum analyzer, frequency counter, etc. for the purpose of evaluating aspects of system performance, preferred.
Required Clearance:
ACTIVE CLEARANCE LEVEL REQUIRED: Secret
Qualifications:
AS/AA in a technical discipline required.
At least ten (10) years of experience required.
Travel:
Greater than 25% travel is expected for this position and may be up to three (3) weeks in duration. Travel may include continental United States and outside continental United States locations.
Work Environment:
This position may be performed in a variety of locations, including but not limited to, commercial and/or government offices, test and integration labs, government facilities and depots, and test & evaluation and proving grounds.
Physical Demands:
Physical demands of this position include ability to:
Be independently mobile.
Communicate effectively with co-workers and customers.
Withstand prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and computer use.
Climb stairs, ramps, ladders, and work stands.
Wear proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) such as glasses/goggles (eyes), ear plugs/muffs (hearing), hard hats, and breathing respirators/masks.

This is a full‐time position, Monday through Friday. Flexibility around core hours. Travel may occur outside of normal core hours.
