What You Will Be Doing
As the FPGA Design Engineer, you will be responsible for:
• Supporting the development of system architectures, including block diagrams, interface control documents, and other architectural artifacts
• Developing and refining system requirements, including performance, interface, and environmental requirements
• Performing trade studies to optimize system performance, including evaluating different design options and developing recommendations for system implementation
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including systems engineering, software engineering, and test engineering, to ensure that system requirements are met and that the system is properly integrated and tested
• Supporting the development of system models and simulations, including creating digital twins and other modeling artifacts
• Participating in design reviews and other technical meetings to ensure that system requirements are met and that the system is properly designed and implemented
• Developing and maintaining technical documentation, including system architectures, requirements documents, and trade study reports

MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN - This position is located at a facility that requires special access. The selected candidate must be able to obtain a secret clearance. A company-sponsored Interim Secret is required to start.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science or higher from an accredited college in Electrical Engineering or related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 9 years of professional experience
- HDL programming experience with VHDL, Verilog, and/or System Verilog
- Experience in Hardware-Software Integration and Validation
- Familiarity with FPGA toolsets
-Experience with trade study development and execution, including the use of tools such as Excel and MATLAB.
Desired Skills:
-Familiarity with military standards and specifications, including MIL-STD-461 and MIL-STD-704.
-Experience with CAMEO requirements management tools.
-Experience with MOSA (Modular Open Systems Architecture) and WOSA (Weapon Open Systems Architecture)
- Experience with management of Configuration Control (GitLab preferred)
- Team and Design lead experience
- Experience with Microchip (MicroSemi)and Libero SoC Design toolsets
- Familiarity with FPGA Vivado/Vitis toolsets
- Experience with UVM
- Experience working with Polarfire devices
- Experience with C/C++ programming
- Experience with troubleshooting and debugging with board-level testing and FPGA validation
- Experience in ASIC / FPGA life cycle (architecture, design, simulation, verification, validation, integration & test), particularly at MFC
- Expert programming Field Programmable Gate Arrays (FPGA) or Complex Programmable Logic Devices (CPLD)
- Comfortable using digital oscilloscopes, power meters, and other test equipment
- Experience with standard complex subsytem interfaces using PCIe, Ethernet, etc.
- Experience with electronics design and troubleshooting activities
- Experience Integrating Hardware and Software
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.
Clearance Level: Secret with Investigation or CV date within 5 years
