Client Solution Architects (CSA) is currently seeking a Cybersecurity Analyst to support a program at Norfolk Naval Shipyard, Portsmouth, VA.
For nearly 50 years, CSA has delivered integrated technology and operational support services to meet the defense and federal sector's most complex enterprise needs. Working from operations centers and shipyards to training sites and program offices, CSA deploys experienced teams, innovative tools and proven processes to advance federal missions.

How Role will make an impact:
- Apply advanced knowledge of cybersecurity concepts and requirements to ensure compliance and system security.
- Conduct system and network vulnerability analysis to identify and mitigate risks.
- Perform comprehensive risk assessments and develop effective risk mitigation strategies.
- Support Security Test and Evaluation (ST&E) processes to validate system security measures.
- Develop and maintain contingency plans to ensure operational continuity in the event of a cybersecurity incident.
- Manage and enforce firewall policies, ports, and protocols to safeguard network integrity.
- Oversee day-to-day VRAM activities, including entering system baseline configurations and uploading vulnerability scans of representative baseline systems.
- Utilize and manage cybersecurity tools such as ACAS, HBSS, MDE, MDI, and Splunk to monitor, analyze, and respond to security threats.
- Ensure compliance with cybersecurity requirements as defined by Public Laws, National, DoD, and DON guidance, including but not limited to:
- Federal Information Security Management Act (FISMA)
- DoDD 8100.02, DoDI 8500.01, DoDI 8520, DoDI 8530, DoDI 8531
- SECNAV 5239 Series and OPNAV 5239 Series
- NIST Special Publications Series 800
- Maintain expert knowledge of OPNAVINST N9210.3 for safeguarding Naval Nuclear Propulsion Information.
- Leverage expert-level knowledge and a minimum of 4 years of experience in mission-critical procedures, systems, and processes related to IT and cybersecurity requirements.
- Ensure full qualification in accordance with DoD 8570.01M standards.
Requirements
What you'll need to have to join our award-winning team:
- Clearance: Must possess and maintain an active Secret Clearance
- Bachelor's degree in an IT-related discipline (e.g., Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering)
- OR Level II Certification (e.g., Security+ or better) AND Minimum of four (4) years of experience in cybersecurity analysis, including:
- Incident response and mitigation.
- Risk mitigation analysis and contingency planning.
- Vulnerability remediation and asset management.
- Proficiency in cybersecurity tools and applications (e.g., ACAS, HBSS, MDE, MDI, Splunk).
- Expert knowledge of cybersecurity requirements and compliance standards as outlined by federal and DoD regulations.
- Strong understanding of firewall policies, ports, and protocols.
- Experience with VRAM activities and system baseline configuration management.
- Fully qualified under DoD 8570.01M standards.
