Volt is immediately hiring for “Software Engineer - ENG02” in “AURORA, Colorado”.
You will do:
• Develop and maintain Java-based backend applications for satellite ground systems.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and implement robust server-side solutions.
• Modify and improve existing codebases for enhanced performance and scalability.
• Conduct software design and code reviews, integrating best practices and innovations.
• Contribute to all phases of the software development lifecycle, ensuring adherence to Agile principles.
• Participate in system integration and project milestone completion under guidance from supervisors.
• Keep abreast of advancements in Java and related technologies to drive continuous innovation.
This is a 12 month with possible extension opportunity.
Clearance Required: Secret
Qualification Must have
• A bachelor’s degree in science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and two (2) years of relevant software engineering experience.
• Experience with Java software development in a Linux environment .
• Experience developing software in an Agile and/or DevOps environments.
What You Will Learn
• Modern DevOps and Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery techniques.
• Software lifecycle practices for defense projects.
• The importance and workings of satellite ground systems.
Additional Job Details:
Pay Rate:- $55/hr.-$69/hr.
