Data Scientist
The Opportunity:
USEUCOM is standing up a modeling, simulation, and decision analytics program to produce and integrate operational modeling, simulation, and data analytics in support of Joint, Combined, and Coalition operations, planning, and decision making. This new program will leverage digital technologies and analytic methodologies to inform planning, exercises, experiments, and wargames through models, simulations, and analytics of current and alternative operational environments. You will learn probable adversary actions and reactions and understand the possible impacts to U.S., Alliance, and partner forces' ability to operate in the USEUCOM AOR.
You'll help our team and our client produce mission- relevant mathematical, statistical, and data models to answer key military operations questions, time series analyses, and probabilities. You'll support the integration of Service Component and Joint data sources within a bespoke cloud environment. You'll have the opportunity to analyze Joint operations, capabilities, and experiments and to communicate your analysis to customers across USEUCOM and Joint Staff.

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $99,000.00 to $225,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees. You Have:
- 5+ years of experience developing data science algorithms, models, and capabilities such as advanced statistical and probability models, including Monte Carlo, Bayesian, or time series modeling
- 5+ years of experience with programming languages such as Python, R, or MATLAB
- 3+ years of experience in machine learning, natural language processing, operations research, data visualization, or geospatial analysis
- 3+ years of experience with relational and non-relational databases
- Ability to translate quantitative results to lay audiences
- TS / SCI clearance
- Bachelor's degree
Nice If You Have:
- 1+ years of experience with cloud computing, including AWS or Azure
- Experience supporting the IC and DoD
- Experience applying data science and related techniques to intelligence or so cia l science problem sets, including in the IC and DoD
- Experience with modeling and simulation efforts, including kinetic and non-kinetic problem sets
- Possession of excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Data Science, Computer Science, o r other quantitative So cia l Science, Mathematical, or Computational field
