Areté is seeking a self-driven Program Manager, Business Management to work within the Maritime Airborne Systems (MAS) sector with a broad responsibility for strategy, financial performance, customer relationships and overall business execution at both the program and internal company levels. The candidate will participate and coordinate all aspects of the sector and program execution including proposals, managing project scope, budgets, schedule, risk, staffing resources, and deliverables. This position can be based in our Northridge, CAoffice. This will be an exempt, non-supervisory, full-time position.

The salary range for this role is $120,000 to $180,000; however, Arete considers several factors when extending an offer of employment, including but not limited to: the position and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, education/training, and key skills

Primary responsibilities:
- Interact with all levels in the MAS Sector and Areté Corporate team(s) including management, production, engineering, security, information technology, cyber security, finance, accounting, and administration.
- Assist program management in the day-to-day execution of programs.
- Manage business life cycles of programs within the sector, including acting as a conduit to the finance organization for appropriate reporting and execution.
- Promote a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement of process and tooling.
- Drive revenue growth, margin improvement, and operational efficiency through continuous process improvement and forward-looking metric development.
- Oversee program performance, risk mitigation, and delivery milestones
- Other duties as assigned.

Experiences and Background We Look For:
- Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, aerospace field, or equivalent experience with at least 10 years of experience.
- History of program business management within the DoD.
- Ability to build and maintain relationships with DoD and industry partners.
- Strong leadership abilities to manage cross-functional teams.
- Ability to support multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent written communication, verbal communication, and presentation skills.
- Experience with Microsoft Office Word, PowerPoint, Excel and SharePoint.
- Flexibility to travel as required.
- U.S. Citizenship and ability to obtain TOP SECRET clearance.
Nice to have:
- Advanced degree in business, applied science, engineering or relevant field.
- Experience associated with active and passive sensor programs including hardware, software, and algorithms.
- Experience working with or as a contractor for Navy or other DoD/government customers.
- Experience in financial modeling for program and business unit performance evaluation, including but not limited to Earned Value Management System (EVMS).
- Experience with Deltek Costpoint and IBM Cognos.
- Active security clearance
