Senior Data Analyst

B&A is seeking a highly motivated and talented Senior Data Analyst to join our team supporting U.S. Navy programs. With a proven record of delivering best-in-class service, B&A provides innovative solutions to complex technical challenges. The Senior Data Analyst will leverage advanced data science methodologies to extract insights from large, complex datasets and support Navy maintenance, sustainment, and operational decision-making.

Responsibilities
  • Apply data mining, data modeling, heuristic and qualitative techniques, natural language processing (NLP), and machine learning to analyze large structured and unstructured datasets.
  • Extract actionable insights to support Navy maintenance, readiness, and sustainment decision-making.
  • Integrate and analyze data from at least five distributed sources, including directly controlled and shared/outside databases, with mixed connectivity for synchronization.
  • Work with diverse datasets, including maintenance, Interactive Electronic Technical Manuals (IETMs), Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM), sensor, and diagnostic data from aviation, ship, submarine, or unmanned systems.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to develop advanced analytics solutions that improve mission readiness and system reliability.
  • Support program development, project execution, and workforce initiatives through the application of advanced analytics and data science techniques.

Education and Experience
  • BA/BS degree in Business, Engineering, or Technical Discipline. Acceptable disciplines include education, psychology, organizational learning, human factors, training, training technology, or related fields.
  • Minimum of seven (7) years of experience, with at least seven years within the last ten years working with: Maintenance, IETM, RCM, sensor, or diagnostic data related to aviation, ship, submarine, or unmanned systems.
  • Data from at least five distributed sources, including controlled and external databases, and mixed connectivity environments.
  • Of the required experience, at least four (4) years must include integrating, validating, verifying, or performing data transformation for IETMs, ICW, or LSA databases.

Required Skills
  • Active NAVSEA Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) Level I or higher certification.
  • Strong proficiency in advanced data analysis, modeling, and data transformation.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability and willingness to travel.

Desired Skills
  • Master's degree in Data Science, Engineering, Computer Science, Statistics, or related field.
  • Experience applying AI/ML techniques to defense or logistics datasets.
  • Familiarity with Navy logistics and maintenance systems.
  • Expertise in big data platforms, distributed computing, and cloud-based analytics environments.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with ability to design innovative, data-driven solutions.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in Navy or DoD program environments.

Security Clearance
  • Current DoD Secret Security Clearance
