Job Responsibilities include:
- Provide management oversight and technical expertise for developmental and operational testing of Unmanned Aircraft Systems.
- Evaluate test plans and procedures for system, subsystem, and component test activities to include environmental, operational, functional, developmental, qualification, and acceptance tests for contractual and technical requirements.
- Conduct test reviews and advise Test Team Lead on readiness to proceed. Witness lab test, ground test, and flight test events.
- Monitor Problem Change Requests and evaluate proper tracking and resolution through test processes.
- Communicate with system evaluators to provide information on system capabilities and emerging test results.
- Author and coordinate test and evaluation master plans.
- Evaluate test reports. Author Performance Work Statements for developmental and qualification test task orders.
- Coordinate with government test ranges and labs to solicit cost estimates, test plans, and schedules and to resolve problems.
- Communicate directly with contractors, engineers, logisticians, program managers, and business team members in order to provide coordinated direction and tasking.
- Provide concise reports to management on status, potential issues/risks, and participate in the development of contingency plans.
- Other related technical tasks as they are assigned by Tech Chief or Product Manager.
Qualifications:
Required Education:
Bachelor's degree with 5 years related experience, experience accepted in lieu of degree.
Required Experience:
- Experience in test engineering supporting PMO Aviation, ideally UAS
- Ability to develop and provide reports to management.
- Strong communication skills (oral and written).
- PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Outlook skills.
Required Clearance:
Must have an Active Secret Clearance; US Citizenship required.
