Chapter Next is a 12-16 week paid returnship hosted by RMS. Candidates who have taken a professional career hiatus for at least 1+ years will be eligible to apply to this program.
During this returnship participants will become part of a community of similarly experienced professionals with challenging work scopes that contribute to the great innovation produced by Lockheed Martin! Selected candidates will be exposed to comprehensive training, professional development opportunities, networking opportunities, and individual based mentoring
Our goal is to provide the fundamental tools needed to be successful in your career field, and to potentially prepare you for an opportunity to join Lockheed Martin full-time. Fields of focus will be diverse across the program and include functional and technical opportunities.
This returnship position is Production Support and will be located in Mount Laurel, NJ. In this role, you will develop and implement new Data Modules, apply comments from customers, and review published Electronic System Operation and Maintenance (ESOM) and Interactive Electronic Technical Manual (IETM) documents. The successful candidate will have experience and/or knowledge of markup languages, such as XML or HTML.
Reporting to the production team manager, the selected individual will contribute to the Technical Publications organization by producing high quality documentation updates to ESOM and IETM documents.
Must be a US Citizen. This position will require a government security clearance.
Basic Qualifications:
- Technical or Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or related discipline
- Proficient in markup languages (XML, HTML, or equivalent)
- Proficient with Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Access, Word, Excel)
- Able to work and track multiple tasks, projects, and assignments simultaneously
- Must be a US Citizen. This position will require a government security clearance
Desired Skills:
- Demonstrated experience reviewing and validating markup languages
- Experience working in a collaborative team environment
- Experience with Adobe Acrobat
- Proficient in task management and work capacity planning

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $41,900 - $73,934. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer. Benefits offered: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Short-Term Disability, Long-Term Disability, 401(k) match, Flexible Spending Accounts, EAP, Education Assistance, Parental Leave, Paid time off, and Holidays. (Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
