Overview
VTG is seeking a motivated Associate Systems Engineer to develop innovative solutions for our Navy customer. The successful candidate will become part of an integrated team of system and software providers that are developing and integrating the U.S. Navy's next generation combat systems. As part of that team, this individual will participate in the development and implementation of models and systems architectures for the new systems.
This position is located in Manassas, VA. This will be a hybrid position that requires to be in office 3 days a week on average.

What will you do?
- Design and perform tests to verify functional validity of models.
- Develop and maintain an understanding of system level requirements for assigned systems and the design features that satisfy these requirements.
- Assist in maintaining the documentation baselines for each system variant.
- Analyze system data to determine adequate system performance under various environmental and operational conditions.
- Assist in the identification, assessment, and resolution of risks during program planning and execution.
- Work within cross-functional teams that include systems, software, electrical, mechanical, test, and production engineers.
Do you have what it takes?
Required Qualifications/Skills/Abilities:
- Bachelor of Science degree in Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Math, Physics, or other Engineering discsipline.
- Exposure to Object-oriented software development (Java, C++, etc.)
- Articulate, excellent presentation skills.
- US Citizen with ability to obtain and maintain SECRET clearance
- Successful completion of background check
Desired Qualifications/Skills/Abilities:
- 2+ years of professional Systems Engineering experience
- 2+ years Agile development experience
- Proficiency with MBSE tools such as Cameo/MagicDraw, Rhapsody, or SparxEA.
- Proficiency with Java, XML, JSON, and YAML languages
- Active SECRET clearance
