  • 5 years of experience in program management.
  • 5 years of experience in compliance, information security, IT audit, or risk management in the U.S. Federal Government Assessment and Authorization process.
  • Active US Government Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmentalized Information (TS/SCI) security clearance with polygraph.

Preferred qualifications:
  • Master's degree, PhD, or equivalent practical experience in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
  • 5 years of experience managing cross-functional or cross-team projects.
  • Experience with Google Cloud Platform or Cloud technologies, abuse detection, and web platform intricacies.
  • Experience with the Risk Management Framework (RMF) and National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) 800-53 (Rev. 4, Rev. 5).
  • Knowledge of industry-standard project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Scrum, Waterfall).
  • Ability to adapt approaches based on project needs.

As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you'll use your technical expertise to lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish. You'll work with stakeholders to plan requirements, identify risks, manage project schedules, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. You're equally comfortable explaining your team's analyses and recommendations to executives as you are discussing the technical tradeoffs in product development with engineers.

In this role, you will work with Google's external clients and internal cross-functional technology, engineering, operations teams to ensure program delivery is on schedule and on budget. As an integral part of the Program Integration and Engineering team, you will manage multiple technical projects and deliverables, requirements/prioritization, compliance, and reporting for projects to ensure success. You will also manage the planning and execution of contract Task Orders to facilitate customer adoption of Google Cloud technologies and services, collaborating with customer systems engineering and integration teams to meet timelines and customer-specific integration requirements. This position involves coordination across multiple efforts, often with competing priorities, to support bringing the latest Google Cloud technology to the U.S. Federal Government.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $156,000-$229,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities
  • Lead the end-to-end technical program management of multi-functional programs, from planning and delivery to tracking and reporting.
  • Partner with Google Public Sector and engineering teams to ensure products meet all Authorization and Accreditation requirements throughout their lifecycle.
  • Manage multiple interactions across geographically dispersed teams, using excellent organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Drive project delivery and technology reviews, applying technical judgment to challenge proposals and build consensus among teams.
  • Engage with engineering and product leaders to simplify how compliance requirements are integrated into Cloud products and services.
