Job Description:
We are looking for a motivated and hands-on Junior RAG and LLM Software Developer to join our AI Engineering team. This is a great opportunity for someone early in their career who has practical experience building generative AI applications and is eager to grow in a fast-paced, mission-driver environment.
Position Responsibilities:
• Assist in developing retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) pipelines using modern AI frameworks.
• Build and maintain web applications that integrate LLMs for semantic search and classification.
• Support the developer synthetic data pipelines and edge-optimized AI systems.
• Collaborate with senior engineers and stakeholders to implement and refine AI features.
• Participate in demos, briefings, and technical discussions to showcase capabilities.
Qualifications:
• 1-3 years of hands-on experience in software development, preferably in AI/ML projects.
• Exposure to RAG systems and LLM integrations using tools like LangChain or Haystack.
• Proficiency in Python and JavaScript.
• Familiarity with vector databases and SQL.
• Experience with FastAPI, Docker and Git.
• Strong interest in defense, government and tactical applications is a plus.
Technical Stack:
• Languages: Python, JavaScript
• Frameworks: LangChain, Haystack, FastAPI, React/Next.js
• Databases: Qdrant, Elasticsearch, SQL
• Tools: Docker, Git, Hugging Face, OpenAi
Desired Qualifications:
• Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science or related field.
• Located on the East Coast of the U.S. (DC/Baltimore/NJ areas preferred)
• Experience with geospatial data or tactical message formats (VMF, CoT)
