MI Technical Solutions is seeking an Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) to join its team. In this role, the Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) is responsible for developing system security documentation in support of authorization and continuous monitoring under the DoD Risk Management Framework (RMF).

MI Technical Solutions is seeking an Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) to join its team. In this role, the Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) is responsible for developing system security documentation in support of authorization and continuous monitoring under the DoD Risk Management Framework (RMF).
Responsibilities:
- Demonstrated expertise in the development and implementation of a comprehensive cybersecurity program to include risk management, developing system security plans (SSP)s and associated artifacts (e.g. POAMs, etc.), obtaining authorizations to operate (ATOs), conducting system/network audits, and remediating cyber-incidents.
- Demonstrated ability to monitor and manage cybersecurity workforce improvement (e.g. training, certifications, performance management, etc.).
- Required to maintain DoD 8570 certification IAM Level I certification.
- Experience in the oversight and execution of the Assessment & Authorization processes (a.k.a. Certification & Accreditation).
- Experience in the oversight and execution of a continuous monitoring/improvement program (to include but not limited to self-inspections, security control assessments, training, log management systems, automated inventory utilities, etc.).
- Experience successfully interfacing with internal and external customers (i.e. SCAs, Program Managers, etc.).
- Experience in the execution and management of IS incident response and administrative inquiries/investigations in collaboration with the external support agencies/departments.
- Experience with the identification, development and oversight of appropriate Cybersecurity policy, processes and procedures.
- Effective writing, speaking, analytical, and customer service skills.
Requirements:
- DoD Secret Clearance
- Bachelor's degree in Computer or Information Science or equivalent work experience in information security, computer science, information systems, or a related field
- Must have, or be able to obtain within 6 months of start date, the DoD 8570 IAM Level I certification and Security+ certification
- Up to 10% travel
- Familiarity with eMASS
- Demonstrated experience with the RMF process and NIST SP 800 series
- Familiarity with DoD systems and technologies
- Effective writing, speaking, analytical, and customer service skills
