The C-12 / King Air Transport Aircraft Mechanic (FAA A&P) Performs organizational and intermediate level maintenance on C-12 (200/350/1900) aircraft.

(*Level of Aircraft Mechanic hire is based on years of specific C-12 hands-on A&P mechanic experience).
  • A valid FAA A&P Certificate is Required.
  • Union CBA provides 3 levels of A&P experience based on years of experience on the assigned aircraft C-12/ King Air (200/350/1900)
  • US Citizenship is Required to obtain the US Govt Secret Clearance and for facility/base access at this site location.
  • Is responsible for servicing, troubleshooting, repairing and modifying aircraft systems to ensure continued airworthiness.
  • These tasks are performed on avionics & electrical systems, engines, flight controls and airframe components.
  • Repairs are performed using hand tools, power tools, machines, and equipment such as shears, sheet metal brake, welding equipment, rivet gun, and drills.
  • Comply with aircraft records procedures outlined in DA PAM 738-751.
  • Ensure aircraft discrepancies are properly recorded in accordance with approved maintenance procedures and within the terms of the contract.
  • Know and understand the functions and requirements of computerized maintenance software.
  • Perform aircraft recovery missions as necessary.
  • Perform engine run or taxi operations. Meet requirement to obtain certification within 12 months of employment.
  • Reads and interprets manufacturers' maintenance manuals, service bulletins, and other specifications to determine feasibility and method of repairing or replacing malfunctioning or damaged components.
  • Perform other qualified duties as assigned.


Minimum Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED Equivalent is Required.
  • A valid (FAA) A&P Certificate is Required.
  • Union CBA Site, provides 3 levels of A&P employment, based on specific years of A&P mechanic experience on the C-12/King Air (200/350/1900) (MDS) Mission Design Series aircraft assigned.
  • AM-1 Requirements - Two (2) Years of A&P mechanic experience is Required, with two (2) or more years of specific C-12/King Air experience being preferred.
  • AM-2 Requirements - Five (5) years of C-12/King Air specific hands-on A&P aircraft mechanic experience is required.
  • AM-3 Requirements - Ten (10) years of FAA A&P mechanic experience, and Thirteen (13) years of specific C-12/King Air aircraft experience is required.
  • Mechanic Tools and Toolbox are Required- Mechanics must provide their own Tools and Toolbox. Tools must be etched with mechanic PID and Toolbox shadowed for each tool (Recruiter will provide tool information).
  • A valid Driver's License is required.
  • Must be willing and able to work any shift assigned under the Union CBA; (currently this site is running one shift M-F, 40 hours a week).
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance and must be able to pass/clear an (AR-95-20) Pre-employment Medical, details below.
  • Must have the ability to move freely about the interior and in the unpressurized area aft of the aft pressure bulkhead and meet aircraft specific specs for weight limit.


Security Clearance Requirements:
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a US Govt Secret Security Clearance. Must be able to obtain and maintain facility credentials and authorization. US Citizenship is Required to hold a US Govt Secret Clearance, and facility credentials and authorization to work at this facility.


(AR95-20) Mechanic Pre-employment Medical Requirements:
  • Medical/Physical. All personnel performing engine runs, ground taxi, ordnance loading, or operating self-propelled support equipment within 10 feet of the aircraft silhouette must pass a physical examination from a qualified medical professional prior to conducting these operations, and subsequently on a specified periodic basis, not to exceed 5 years.


Physical and Additional Requirements:
  • Ability to move freely about the interior and in the unpressurized area aft of the aft pressure bulkhead and meet aircraft specific specs for weight limit.
  • Stand, squat, sit, walk, work with arms overhead for extended periods of time.
  • Pull, push, lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Comply with the FAA regulations as applicable.
  • Possesses a valid FAA Aircraft & Powerplant (A&P) license and shows compliance with FAR 65.83, recent experience requirements.
  • Must be able to speak, read, write and understand English.
  • Reliable, self-motivated, and able to deal with stressful situations and timelines while maintaining professional and non-confrontational attitude.
