Position Overview The Lead Programmer/Site Lead will assist the 432 Support Squadron Civil Engineer Flight with planning and programming of quality facilities projects needed to perform the Air Force mission. The Lead Programmer will also assist with ensuring project requests meet validated requirements and are in compliance with all applicable standards. The facility projects support Operations and Maintenance (O&M), Military Family Housing (MFH), NonAppropriated Fund (NAF), Special Interest Programs, Host-tenant, Real Property Maintenance Contract (RPMC), centralized and de-centralized Facilities, Sustainment, Restoration, and Modernization (FSRM/dFSRM), Unspecified Minor Military Construction (UMMC) and /or Military Construction (MCP/MILCON) programs. This position will also be dual-hatted as the Site Lead, who acts as a day-to-day representative for the government to coordinate with. Essential Job Function

- Assist with providing complete facility planning and programming for assigned projects by establishing facility and infrastructure requirements critical for mission accomplishment, proposing the most effective and economical means of satisfying those requirements
- Conduct site/facility surveys to gather and assess preliminary information; applies and/or adapts standard professional engineering theories and practices to evaluate the engineering soundness of programs/projects.
- Coordinate projects with other engineers and subject matter experts in a variety of disciplines, architects, and planners as well as tenant organization representatives and construction agents such as private contracting companies, Army Corps of Engineers, and the AF Civil Engineer Center.
- Keep abreast of emerging technologies to ensure programmed development will not prematurely become obsolete.
- Comply with health, safety, and environmental rules and procedures and performs work in a manner that enhances the safety of the work environment.
- Assist with planning and programming energy conservation and resiliency projects.
- Produce life-cycle cost analyses, feasibility studies, energy cost, etc. to identify and develop resource efficiency projects.
- Provide monthly status reports which shall document results, statuses and accomplishments.
- Site Lead will be responsible for tracking progress, providing updates and attending key Civil Engineer Flight meetings.
- Site Lead will notify the Government of any employee absences and will provide disciplinary action or counseling if one of the positions is not meeting the requirements.
- BS degree in Engineering from an Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET) accredited university or college.
- Minimum of 6 years of programming experience in the Department of Defense (DoD) within the last 10 years, OR Minimum of 4 years of project development experience, 4 years of cost estimating experience in the United States within the last 10 years and a minimum of two years of programming experience in the DoD within the last 10 years.

- Work experience with/in the Air Force and experience related to facility/infrastructure energy efficiency.
