Job Summary:

B&A is looking for a Task Order Project Manager to join a contract with a federal government client in support of an important mission. We are seeking a highly skilled Task Order Project Manager to oversee large and complex task orders within a dynamic federal contracting environment. The Task Order Project Manager will support the Program Manager by working directly with Government stakeholders, including the Contracting Officer (KO), Contracting Officer Representative (COR), Task Order Managers, and customer agency representatives. This role is responsible for the overall management of assigned task orders, ensuring that technical solutions, deliverables, and schedules are executed effectively and on time.

Responsibilities:
  • Serve as the project manager for large and complex task orders, ensuring all contractual, technical, and schedule requirements are met.
  • Support the Program Manager in coordinating with the Government KO, COR, Task Order Managers, management personnel, and customer representatives.
  • Provide leadership and direction to project staff, ensuring performance aligns with task order objectives.
  • Oversee task order planning, scheduling, resource allocation, and deliverables to ensure timely execution.
  • Manage IT sustainment services and/or MEBS tools to support task order performance and reporting.
  • Apply project management best practices to monitor performance, mitigate risks, and resolve issues.
  • Prepare and present reports, updates, and documentation to government and program stakeholders.
  • Ensure effective use of project management and productivity tools, including Microsoft Project, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint, and Access.

Education and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree (BS/BA) in a related field OR four (4) additional years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent nationally recognized certification.

Required Skills:
  • Five (5) years of project management or related experience with progressively higher responsibility in IT and/or consulting fields.
  • Five (5) years of leadership experience with increasing responsibility in IT and/or consulting fields.
  • Five (5) years of experience in IT sustainment services and/or experience managing/using MEBS tools.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Access, SharePoint) and project management tools such as Microsoft Project.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage personnel performance effectively.
  • Proven track record of mentoring and developing staff in IT or consulting environments.
  • Experience in risk management, issue resolution, and performance monitoring for large-scale IT projects.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and task orders simultaneously.
  • Strong skills in developing and managing project schedules, budgets, and deliverables.
  • Knowledge of IT sustainment services, enterprise systems, and MEBS tools in support of government operations.
  • Familiarity with process improvement methodologies (e.g., Agile, Lean Six Sigma, ITIL).
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to present technical and program updates to government and senior leadership.
  • Strong stakeholder management and customer relationship skills.
  • Ability to analyze complex program requirements and recommend innovative solutions.
  • Experience evaluating new technologies and tools to enhance efficiency and program performance.
