Overview
System Engineer Level II (or Level III)
Location & Travel: Linthicum Heights, MD
️ Clearance Requirement: Active TS/SCI level security clearance with polygraph (must be current).
Intelligent Waves is seeking a System Engineer Level II (or Level III) for our cybersecurity contract in Linthicum Heights, MD. This key role is focused on managing system requirements and derived requirements to ensure the delivery of production systems that are compatible with the defined system architecture(s) - Department of Defense Architecture Framework (DoDAF), Service-oriented Architecture (SOA), etc.; assist with the development of system requirements, functional requirements, and allocation to individual hardware, software, facility, and personnel components; and generate alternative system concepts, physical architectures, and design solutions for the customer.

Responsibilities
- Lead systems engineering efforts across the full lifecycle: requirements analysis, design, integration, testing, and deployment.
- Develop system specifications, architecture, and integration strategies to meet mission objectives.
- Manage risk, evaluate system performance, and troubleshoot issues in highly secure environments.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including software, hardware, and cyber engineers.
- Provide subject matter expertise in HAIPE operations and sustainment.
- Apply engineering best practices to ensure compliance with security and mission requirements.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management, or a related discipline from an accredited institution.
- In lieu of a degree, an additional five (5) years of relevant experience may be substituted.
- Systems Engineering Experience:
- Level 2: Fourteen (14) years with degree, or nineteen (19) years without degree.
- Must have experience with HAIPE devices, including operating, configuring, keying, testing, specifying, and maintaining them.
- Active TS/SCI with polygraph clearance
- Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management, or a related discipline from an accredited institution.
- Desired:
Experience or familiarity with:- Quantum algorithms/engineering
- Zero-Trust engineering principles
- AWS / Cloud environments
- Agile engineering methodologies
- Hardware engineering
- Software engineering
- Military and/or special operations environments
