Program Description
The FALSTAFF contract has just begun it's 2nd year of a 7 year contract. The program provides SETA (Systems Engineering Technical Advisor) & SE&I (Systems Engineering & Integration) services to an IC customer with a focus on assured space communications and supporting IT infrastructure. This is primarily broken into three major support functions including systems engineering, capability acquisition, and mission operations. Systems engineering support focuses on the end-to-end processes for managing programs, including readiness, configuration management, integrated master schedule, systems analysis, future studies and innovations. Acquisition support is focused on helping government COTRs in all aspects of managing development contracts to deliver new or upgraded capabilities that meet requirements. Mission operations involves supporting the customer staff charged with leading the 24x7 daily operations, managing the integration of new capabilities into operations and facilitating anomaly response teams when issues arise.
Specific Opportunity Description
This position is for the Mission Operations Team Lead role and is responsible for leading FALSTAFF's technical support to the customer's mission operations staff. This position will lead a dedicated team of SETA staff focused on all aspects of operations including supporting normal day to day activities and ongoing projects, bringing in new capabilities and successfully integrating them into operations, and facilitating response to anomalous activities and return to operations - and everything in between.

Other duties will include:
- Maintain subject matter expert (SME) level knowledge of the operations segment architecture, interfaces, and capabilities.
- Primary interface between FALSTAFF team and other development contracts supporting the mission.
- Maintain awareness of user needs, conops and requirements
- Lead SETA MO team collaboration, task management, prioritization and assignments
- Lead SETA collaboration across the FALSTAFF contract with mission operations focus
- Facilitate MO SETA weekly team meetings to review project status and support needs
- Lead MO feature planning and development for periodic build prioritization planning functions
- Provide draft recommendation briefings on any number of topics in support of the customer
- Create and/or provide input to the weekly activity report
- Provide SME level training to new personnel
- Support customer team in any contract management tasks
- Guide team members through all parts of the systems engineering 'vee' with a focus on ConOps development in the beginning and integration, test, transition to operations and operations support.

Qualifications
Required:
- Relevant Experience: 12 to 15 years with BS, 10 to 13 years with MS, 10+ years with PhD
- Must possess and be able to maintain a TS/SCI with Poly
- Technical BS in Engineering, Computer Science or related technical degree. 5 years of relevant experience in supporting mission operations, systems engineering or software development/acquisition programs can be substituted for the degree requirement.
- 5 years of mission operations support.
- Technical team leadership experience.
- The ability to work well within a team of engineers.
- Demonstrated success in working with government customers.
Desired:
- 5 - 10 years of experience supporting operations for a space communications mission
- BS in Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, Aerospace Engineering or Computer Science.
- Prior experience as a SETA with FALSTAFF IC agency customer working acquisition support for a system development.
- Prior experience with ground software planning and scheduling RF based satellite communications systems.
- Good understanding of RF communications basics
- Experience working with Tasking, Collection, Processing, Exploitation and Distribution (TCPED) systems.
- Experience with IC operations networks, including terrestrial and space-based communications networks
- Experience with cloud infrastructure or transitioning capabilities into the cloud.
