As Sr. Cloud Engineer II, you'll lead OCI-based modernization and sustainment of enterprise logistics systems for the Marine Corps. This role blends deep Oracle infrastructure expertise with DevSecOps, automation, and Agile delivery practices. The engineer will ensure secure, scalable, and mission-ready cloud environments that support continuous transformation and operational excellence.

What you'll do:
  • Lead the design, deployment, and sustainment of Oracle-based enterprise systems within Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) .
  • Managing OCI tenancy, configuring Exadata and WebLogic environments, and implementing Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) using Terraform.
  • Support the migration of Oracle EBS and middleware components, ensuring secure and compliant cloud operations, and integrating DevSecOps practices to streamline delivery pipelines.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to maintain system availability, performance, and audit readiness in alignment with DoD cybersecurity and operational standards.
  • Work closely with Agile Release Trains (ARTs) and Planning Increments (PIs), ensuring that cloud infrastructure aligns with evolving mission needs and modernization goals.
  • In addition to technical execution, you will play a strategic role in shaping the cloud modernization roadmap for the customer. This includes evaluating new OCI services, supporting DR/COOP readiness, and contributing to the development of automation frameworks for monitoring, patching, and compliance.

What you'll need to succeed:
  • Active DoD Secret security clearance
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
  • 7-10 years of experience in cloud engineering or infrastructure roles
  • Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) Certification
  • IAT Level II Certification (e.g., Security+ CE, CCNA Security, GSEC)
  • Proven experience with Oracle EBS migrations and sustainment in OCI
  • Hands-on experience with Oracle Database 19c, Exadata Cloud Services, and WebLogic in OCI
  • Proficiency in Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) using Terraform
  • Experience managing OCI tenancy, compartments, identity domains, and networking
  • Familiarity with Oracle middleware, SOA Suite, OIM/OID, and Axway API Gateway
  • Strong understanding of DevSecOps pipelines, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and CI/CD automation
  • Demonstrated ability to lead ERP cloud migration waves, including cutover planning and rollback testing
  • Experience supporting Agile Release Trains (ARTs) and Planning Increments (PIs) in a SAFe-aligned environment. Leadership experience managing teams and driving technical outcomes.

SALARY RANGE: $138,000 - $170,000

The salary range for this position is determined based on qualifications, skills, and relevant experience. The final salary offered will be determined based on several factors including:
  • The candidate's professional background and relevant work experience
  • The specific responsibilities of the role and organizational needs
  • Internal equity and alignment with current team compensation
  • This role is also eligible for additional compensation, subject to the terms and policies of MetroStar, which may include:
    • Performance-based bonuses
    • Company-paid training and/or certifications
    • Referral bonuses
