About The Role:
This position plays a key role in advancing accessibility initiatives and supporting the Computer/Electronic Accommodations Program’s (CAP) mission within the Department of Defense (DoD). In collaboration with the federal client and the Acquisition Team, you will help provide Assistive Technology (AT) and accommodations that empower individuals with disabilities and wounded, ill, or injured Service members to access information and communication technology. Additionally, you will contribute to improving the accessibility and functionality of high-visibility, high-traffic DoD sites by implementing and enhancing Assistive Technologies.
Essential Responsibilities: Core duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned by management.
• Perform activities related to financial functions such as budgeting, auditing, forecasting, and analysis.
• Provide support in the procurement cycle of the AT accommodations from building orders, allocating them to vendors, gathering the documentation to support the orders, placing the orders, and following up with the customers for receipt and invoicing the orders.
• Procure items, manage inventory, and resolve supply chain issues as needed.
• Assist in developing the Acquisitions Deskside Guide as processes evolve.
• Run ad-hoc reports for the client.
• Liaise with the customers and vendors to mitigate issues arising from the procurement cycle.
• Complete broad-scope financial responsibilities to support organizational goals and objectives.
• Ensure compliance with internal procedures and government regulations, including Defense Acquisition Regulations (DAR) and Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR).
• Interface with government auditors to support audits, providing accurate financial data and explanations of methodology as required.
• Conduct market research, define the procurement approach, identify qualified vendors, assess risks, and solicit proposals from vendors to determine the most effective option.
• Communicate acquisition status to relevant stakeholders and ensure timely delivery of solutions.
• Review activities and data to identify opportunities for enhancing acquisition operations and improving customer service.
• Learn and become proficient in CAP’s unique and multi-layer procurement process.

Minimum Job Requirements
• Eight (8) years of financial analysis, purchasing, and customer service experience required.
• Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, business administration, or a related field is required.
• Two (2) or more years of experience working with assistive technologies and accommodations is a plus.
• Knowledge of DAR/FAR and other applicable government regulations is required.
• Proficiency in budgeting, auditing, forecasting, and financial analysis is required.
• Experience with the DoD and its stakeholders is preferred.
• Ability to engage with internal and external stakeholders is required.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills is required.
• Highly proficient using MS Office Suite applications is required.
• Ability to adapt to a dynamic work environment and changing priorities is required.
• Effective problem-solving skills, especially in addressing customer concerns is required.
• Attention to detail and willingness to learn is required.
• Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively is required.
• Work arrangement: Currently fully remote. However, this position requires availability to work onsite at the client site in Alexandria, VA up to 5 days a week if and when company and/or client guidance changes.
