We are seeking an experienced Core Processing Integration & Analysis Engineer (Level 4) to support advanced Air Dominance Mission Systems Programs within the defense and aerospace sector. The engineer will provide subject matter expertise in core processor systems integration, with a strong focus on requirements decomposition, Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE), and mission system interoperability. This role requires the ability to lead integration efforts, partner with customers, and drive capability delivery across multiple subsystems and mission platforms.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the integration and analysis of core processor systems at the component and mission system platform level.
Perform requirements decomposition to derive system, hardware, and software requirements from high-level mission objectives.
Apply Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) to requirements development, performance modeling, interface definition, and traceability.
Lead capability integration efforts across software, hardware, and test teams to deliver capabilities into mission systems.
Define logical, hardware, and software interfaces to ensure platform compatibility and subsystem interoperability.
Analyze and translate customer requirements into mission system designs, ensuring technical alignment with program objectives.
Collaborate with stakeholders to document and validate system design requirements.
Continuously assess and improve engineering processes, tools, and methods to enhance integration efficiency.
Support verification, validation, and release of integrated mission system capabilities.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills & Experience)
Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related technical discipline.
7+ years of experience in systems engineering, integration, or mission systems development.
Proven expertise with core processor systems at both the component and mission systems platform level.
Hands-on experience with Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) tools and practices.
Strong background in requirements decomposition, systems integration, and interface management.
Demonstrated leadership in cross-functional integration teams.
Excellent communication and technical documentation skills.
Active [Secret/Top Secret/SCI] clearance (or ability to obtain).
Preferred Qualifications
Master’s degree in Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related field.
Experience supporting advanced air dominance or proprietary defense programs.
Background in mission systems test, verification, and validation.
Experience developing and implementing process improvements within engineering organizations.
