Job Description
Performs technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for total systems. Analyses are performed at all levels of total system product to include: concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance and disposal. Ensures the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints. Performs functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications.
Basic Qualifications
0 Years with an ABET accredited Bachelor's Degree in engineering program.
Seeking an early career Systems Engineer to support the development and implementation of Systems Engineering on our client's submarine, carrier and facility programs.
The candidate will contribute to existing programs as well as develop new processes and systems engineering capabilities for future programs.
Key Responsibilities:
• Support the implementation of systems engineering on active our client's programs across the systems lifecycle including requirements development and management, verification and validation, and systems architecting.
• Support the development and refinement of systems engineering processes, frameworks, and best practices to be applied on future programs.
• Collaborate with discipline engineering teams, program management, and external stakeholders to ensure alignment with customer needs.
• Drive the adoption and execution of Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) methodologies across programs to enhance efficiency and decision making.
Required Experience:
• Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related discipline.
• Exceptional communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in multi-disciplinary teams.
• Self-motivated and able to prioritize work to support project leads.
• Exposure to implementing systems engineering principles, methods and lifecycle processes on naval, defense or aerospace programs.
• Familiarity with MBSE Tools (Cameo, Cradle, DOORS, etc.).
• Knowledge of digital engineering practices, data integration and model management processes.
Special Requirements:
