Roles & Responsibilities
As a key member of our cloud engineering team, you'll be responsible for:
- Designing and deploying scalable, secure network architectures on AWS
- Writing infrastructure as code using Terraform
- Implementing and managing hybrid cloud connectivity solutions
- Ensuring network compliance with FedRamp standards
- Deploying network monitoring and logging tools
- Collaborating with application teams to tailor network solutions for diverse workloads
- AWS Advanced Networking Specialty Certification
- Experience with AWS Control Tower and AWS Organizations for multi-account environments
- Familiarity with container networking (Amazon ECS, EKS)
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field
- 4+ years of network engineering experience, with at least 2 years focused on AWS
- Strong foundation in networking protocols and concepts: TCP/IP, BGP, SD-routing, VPNs, firewalls
- Hands-on experience with AWS networking services:
- Amazon VPC, Direct Connect, Transit Gateway, IPAM, Route 53, WAF, PrivateLink
- Infrastructure as Code (IaC) proficiency with Terraform and Git
- Proven ability to design and implement complex AWS network architectures
- Knowledge of hybrid cloud networking and software-defined networking (SDN)
- Experience with network automation and orchestration
- Familiarity with network monitoring and troubleshooting tools
AWS-Specific Expertise:
- VPC design (subnets, route tables, NACLs, security groups)
- AWS Network Firewall and WAF implementation
- Direct Connect and AT&T NetBond connectivity options
- Transit Gateway for hub-and-spoke architectures
- PrivateLink for secure service connectivity
Network Security Capabilities:
- Network segmentation and micro-segmentation
- AWS security services: GuardDuty, Security Hub, AWS Config
- DDoS protection strategies on AWS
- Encryption in transit (SSL/TLS)
