The Accessions Information Environment (AIE) is the Army's 21st-century talent acquisition capability, modernizing and standardizing accessions enterprise talent acquisition Army-wide. This Commercial Off-the-Shelf (COTS) solution is a multi-network, multi-device accessible, secure solution hosted in Salesforce GovCloud+ and Amazon Web Service (AWS) Cloud Impact Level (IL) 4 commercial cloud environment. In concert with systems modernization across the enterprise, AIE will originate the Army Soldier record for management in systems downstream. AIE will deliver a fully integrated enterprise system that implements new business practices and modernizes recruiting capabilities that meet all Army manning requirements.

The Agile Data Specialist will oversee the design, development, and optimization of our enterprise data integration architecture. This role will collaborate with a team of Salesforce Architects, AIE business analysts, and AIE software developers to ensure seamless data flow across platforms, enabling real-time insights and operational efficiency .

Responsibilities

  • Translate reference requirements into scalable data solutions across Salesforce Sales Cloud and Service Cloud
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders and cross-functional teams to align data solutions with enterprise architecture, integration standards, and program objectives
  • Support multi-disciplinary projects, coordinating milestones, deliverables, and cross-team alignment to ensure timely delivery of data products.
  • Monitor, validate, and govern data quality, performance, and compliance across all systems and integration points
  • Identify risks, dependencies, and mitigation strategies to deliver reliable, actionable data in a complex Government environment.
  • Define integration of architecture standards and best practices
  • Optimize support and validate accessions foundational data
  • Analyze data pipelines and support troubleshoot efforts in data flow or transformation logic
  • Design, implement, and optimize data pipelines, ETL/ELT workflows, and APIs to ensure high-quality, reliable data supporting acquisition and recruiting operations.
  • Support data migration initiatives during system upgrades or transitions
  • Provides oversight ensuring adherence to data governance, quality, and security standards

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field
  • 7+ years of experience in data integration, with at least 2+ years in a leadership role monitoring and validating cost, performance and schedule for systems engineering projects
  • 3+ years' experience with configuring cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP) and establishing secure connections between systems
  • 3+ years' experience monitoring performance of systems using modern capabilities
  • Must be agile certified (SAFe is desired) or agree to complete training and obtain certification within 30 days of hire
  • Secret clearance required


Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • Proficiency implementing a data model to include establishing custom and standard objects and fields; understanding relationships between objects; upserting reference data; and extracting data from the model for documentation
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Strong knowledge of ETL/ELT frameworks, APIs and large volume data migrations
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills to monitor data quality, performance, and mitigate risks effectively across multiple customers and audiences
  • Army Accessions and Recruiting knowledge (desired)
  • Knowledge of the data elements within the Army's Recruiting Information Support System (ARISS) (desired)
  • Proficiency using Structured Querly Language
  • Evaluate and implement integration tools such as MuleSoft
  • Salesforce implementation (preferred)
  • Possess hands-on experience with Azure Devops (ADO) (desired)
  • Certifications in integration platforms or cloud technologies (preferred) and/ or Salesforce data architect certification (preferred)
  • Have proven interpersonal skills and a collaborative management style
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
