Job Summary:

Engineering Manager (Integrated Solutions)

A highly motived, hands-on, experienced engineer to lead, manage, and grow a team of multi-disciplined staff for productization, services, and integrated solutions servicing DoD and Industry.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Develop, improve, and implement specific engineering policies and procedures for daily operations and engineering workflow.
  • Assign, resource, and manage engineering projects.
  • Develop solution strategies for product and overall system design in collaboration with Principal Solution Architects and stake holders.
  • Develop and mentor staff on specific DoD requirements for environmental testing and system support activities.
  • Directly participate in the development and execution of new products and solutions leveraging your primary technical discipline.
  • Explore and propagate innovative engineering solutions working with assigned program and business development leads including the generation of specific business plan and budgeting requirements.
  • Provide a top-level engineering presence for customer meetings.
  • Direct participation for requirement definition and technical responses in contract opportunity responses and white papers.

KEY SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical or systems engineering.
  • A minimum of 5 years direct experience in mechanical and/or systems design in industry.
  • Direct experience implementing various military standards into product design.
  • Extensive experience using a computer-aided design (CAD) system (Solid Edge, SolidWorks, or similar) producing models and draft files.
  • Direct experience with test planning and execution for MIL-STD environmental qualification.
  • Shall be self-motivated and task completion oriented.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead small engineering efforts and teams.
  • Shall possess the ability to multi-task and prioritize efforts in a fast-paced environment.
  • Basic computer skills including typical Microsoft office applications.
  • A record of punctuality and regular on-site attendance (this is an on-site position).
  • Demonstrated expertise to produce quality engineering drawings and understand typical engineering standards and workflows.
  • Proficiency in the design and coordination of electro-mechanical components for third party fabrication.
  • Direct experience in the creation, modification, and maintenance of drawing packages, Engineering Change Orders, and Bill Of Materials.
  • The knowledge, skill, and ability to understand and interpret product drawings across multiple functional categories (i.e., interface of electrical hardware, assembly drawings, interface control drawings).

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Experience utilizing (Siemens) Solid Edge.
  • Experience utilizing Finite Element Analysis (FEA) and the ability to utilize Computation Fluid Dynamics (CFD) software packages/plug-ins.
  • Direct Experience with US Navy design and implementation for shipboard consoles and computing products.
  • Experience with MIL-DTL-901E, MIL-STD-167-1; MIL-STD-461; MIL-STD-810/815; ASME Y.100

Security Clearance
  • Eligible to obtain Secret clearance.
