Summary

The Electronic Technician is responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, and supporting Access Control Systems and Video Surveillance System (VSS) along with related equipment. The technician provides both scheduled and unscheduled services as required by Government specifications.

*This position is contingent upon contract award*

Responsibilities

  • Perform system installations, repairs, services, equipment moves, replacements, and scheduled/unplanned corrective maintenance for all VSS-related equipment.
  • Respond to emergency service requests within two (2) hours of notification;
  • Troubleshoot and resolve system issues to restore operational functionality.
  • Coordinate with Government representatives, project managers, and support teams to ensure compliance with contract requirements.
  • Maintain accurate records of service calls, maintenance actions, and equipment changes.
  • Ensure all work complies with safety standards, manufacturer specifications, and security requirements.
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Current LenelS2 certification required
  • Active Secret clearance required
  • Minimum two (2) years experience installing, configuring, and servicing electronic security systems, specifically access control and video surveillance platforms.
  • Experience supporting Government or DoD security system contracts is preferred
  • Networking knowledge in (IP addressing, PoE, switches, etc.). is preferred
  • OSHA 10/30 or equivalent safety training is preferred
  • Required to be available to be dispatched from an operational center or locality within 100 miles of the designated facility, ensuring 2-hour response time for emergencies.
  • Strong background in VSS, access control, and low-voltage cabling systems.
  • Valid state driver's license


Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • Ability to work independently while coordinating with a multi-disciplinary team.
  • Ability to read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Skill in operating a personal computer and standard office equipment.
  • Must have knowledge of a variety of computer software applications in word processing, spreadsheets, database, (MSWord, Excel, Access, PowerPoint), and Outlook.

  • Must be able to lift 50+ lbs., climb ladders, and work in varied environments (indoor/outdoor).
