Description:
The Digital Modernization Sector at TEKsystems has a career opportunity for a ServiceNow Developer supporting the Global Solutions Management – Operations II (GSM-O II) contract at DISA. This contract includes the Operations, Sustainment, Maintenance, Repair, and Defense of the Defense Information System Network (DISN) within the DOD Information Network (DODIN) in support of the Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA). It also includes support to other key tasks for DISA, including the transformation of DISA’s operational mission through innovation, and support to DISA’s mission partners.
Candidate must be able to be on site at Fort Meade, Scott AFB, or Hill AFB daily. At a minimum, a Secret clearance is required upon the start of employment and within 14 days following the start date the employee must obtain their Security+ certification.
As a ServiceNow Developer, you will perform configuration, development, support, and maintenance of the ServiceNow implementation. You will work with external and internal stakeholders to understand, propose, and deliver digital transformation solutions with emphasis on request fulfillment, automated workflows through ServiceNow Service Catalogs, and key ITIL processes like Request, Incident, Problem, Change, Knowledge, and other modules.
Primary Responsibilities:
• Support the standup, configuration, and implementation of ServiceNow’s ITSM, ITOM, TSM, TSOM, and OMT modules
• Create and maintain forms, reports, views, workflows, groups, and roles
• Enhance dashboards and reporting capabilities, including scheduled reports
• Configure tool integrations with ServiceNow (Elastic, Netcool, Kafka, etc.)
• Coordinate and support application and platform upgrades
• Assist with design, creation, and cataloging of business process flows
• Collaborate with the ServiceNow development team to propose solutions based on business needs
• Design and configure ServiceNow functions to meet operational requirements
• Support business process re-engineering to transition ticketing and order management into ServiceNow
• Identify trends and patterns in customer data to improve user experience and network performance
• Interact with customers to address systems engineering technical considerations and resolve issues
• Develop, configure, and customize the ServiceNow platform to fit business requirements
• Troubleshoot and resolve problems
• Orchestrate and automate tasks
• Design and build ServiceNow applications and integrations in an Agile Scrum environment
• Maintain documentation best practices throughout ServiceNow development
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support ongoing business needs
• Apply UI/UX requirements from internal and external teams
• Adhere to coding standards and contribute to technical documentation
• Support data migration and CMDB integration from multiple sources
• Willingness to learn and grow under mentorship from senior developers
Basic Qualifications:
• U.S. Citizenship required
• Active DoD Secret Clearance
• Security+ or equivalent DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification (must be obtained within 14 days of start)
• Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline or equivalent experience
• 4–8 years of professional experience (or 2–6 years with a Master’s degree)
• At least 3 years of experience in technology infrastructure design, development, and support
• At least 2 years of ServiceNow development experience
• Experience with ServiceNow upgrades
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to present to both customers and program leadership
• Willingness to receive mentoring and adapt to evolving technologies
Preferred Qualifications:
• ServiceNow Certified Application Developer
• Experience with Agile development and testing methodologies
• Familiarity with ServiceNow modules: TSM, TNI, OMT
• Experience with JIRA, Git, and Confluence
• ITIL Foundation certification
• AWS cloud and ServiceNow certifications
• Bachelor’s degree in a technical field (e.g., Systems Engineering, Computer Science)
• Experience with large software systems and hardware integration
• Experience with SAFe agile methodology
• Experience transitioning from legacy to modern applications
• Experience with test automation, CI/CD, and DevSecOps
• Experience using Kanban for support team workflows

Hourly Rate Range: $60.00 to $70.00/hour
